Website and beta invitation requests

Companions helps people build meaningful friendships. This policy explains how Companions4.life LLC, operating as Companions ("we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information when you visit companions4.life, request a beta invitation, or contact us about that request.

This policy covers the website and invitation process. If you join a Circle, we will provide additional privacy information and participation choices before collecting identity-verification materials or recording or processing your conversations with AI. Submitting an invitation request does not authorize those activities.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When invitation requests are open, the form asks for:

• Your first name and email address.
• Your city and state or region.
• Confirmation that you are single and at least 55 years old.
• Permission to email you about your request and next steps.

We also receive information you choose to provide in follow-up correspondence, such as your availability, questions, or changes to your request.

The invitation form does not request your birth date, street address, phone number, government-issued identification, temple recommend, payment information, or a declaration of religious affiliation. Please do not send identity documents, financial information, or other sensitive records through the form or ordinary email.

Our initial offering focuses on the Latter-day Saint community. Your interest in Companions may therefore suggest an interest in that community even though the form does not ask you to state your religion.

Campaign information. If you arrive through a tagged link, we may save the campaign source, medium, campaign name, and content tag with your request. These tags help us understand which outreach brings people to Companions.

Technical information. Our website, form software, and hosting services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, referring page, and the date and time of a visit or submission. We use this information to deliver the website, maintain submission records, diagnose problems, and detect abuse.

2. How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

• Review invitation requests and the eligibility confirmation you provide.
• Plan Circle locations, schedules, and capacity.
• Contact you about your request, availability, and next steps.
• Answer questions and handle privacy requests.
• Understand the performance of our invitation campaigns.
• Operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the website and invitation process.
• Meet applicable legal obligations and address fraud, abuse, or disputes.

The Companions team reviews invitation requests. Submitting the form does not automatically admit you to a Circle, create a paid membership, or start a subscription. It also does not subscribe you to an unrelated marketing list.

3. Where information is stored and who can receive it

Invitation requests are stored in our website's WordPress database using Elementor's form-submission feature. Authorized team members can access requests to manage the beta and respond to you.

Information may also be processed by providers that support our website hosting, backups, security, maintenance, and email correspondence. We limit what we disclose to what is needed for the relevant service and require appropriate protection of information processed on our behalf.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect people's safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or establish or defend legal claims. If Companions undergoes a merger, acquisition, or transfer of its business, relevant information may be transferred subject to applicable law and the protections described in this policy.

We do not publish invitation requests or make them available to other applicants or Circle members. We do not sell or rent your personal information, or disclose it to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use invitation-request details to build advertising audiences.

4. Cookies, fonts, and other websites

Our website may use cookies for essential functions such as sign-in and security. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking them may affect some functions. The custom invitation form does not place advertising cookies or save your form details in browser storage.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google receives your IP address and information needed to deliver them. See Google's explanation of Google Fonts privacy and Google's Privacy Policy.

Our no-sale and no-advertising-sharing practices apply whether or not your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. The website does not otherwise change its behavior in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal. We do not enable third-party advertising trackers to follow your activity across other websites through this invitation page.

If you follow a link to another website, that service's privacy practices apply to information you provide there. Visiting Companions does not give us access to your social-media account or private messages.

5. How long we keep information

We retain invitation requests and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to review and manage requests, communicate with applicants, and administer the beta invitation process. We consider whether a request remains active, when we last communicated with you, and whether the information is still needed.

You can ask us to withdraw your request and delete your information. We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, document a privacy request, or honor a request not to contact you again.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details. Backup copies may remain until they expire through the backup cycle; they are not used for routine outreach. Technical and security records may follow separate retention periods appropriate to their purpose.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

You can browse the website without submitting an invitation request. If you do not provide the required form information, we cannot process an invitation request through the form.

To ask to access, correct, or delete your information, withdraw your request, or stop follow-up emails, contact support@companions4.life. You can also reply to a message from our team to ask us to stop invitation-related outreach. We may retain a minimal suppression record so we can honor that choice.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including a portable copy of your information, restrictions on certain processing, an authorized-agent request, or an appeal of a denied request. We will handle applicable requests within the time required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify a request or an agent's authority. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically arrange a secure verification method. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why and describe any applicable appeal process. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator.

7. Security and processing locations

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires protections for an international transfer, we will put those protections in place.

8. Circle participation, identity verification, recording, and AI

The invitation page itself does not access your camera or microphone, record conversations, or collect identity-verification documents.

The planned Circle experience includes identity verification and designated calls that are recorded and processed with AI to support the experience. Before you participate, we will provide a separate participant notice explaining the information involved, the providers that process it, who can access recordings and derived materials, retention and deletion, any model-training use, and your choices.

Under the planned participation model, consent to designated-call recording and AI processing is required to join; withdrawing that consent ends participation in that recorded experience. The planned raw-recording retention period runs through the 12-week journey, with deletion within 30 days after Week 12. Transcripts, summaries, shared memories, and other derived materials require their own retention rules; deletion of a raw recording does not necessarily delete those materials.

These are descriptions of the planned experience, not consent obtained through this policy. We will provide the participant notice and obtain the required consent before those activities begin. Future payment processing will also be explained before you choose to pay; the invitation form collects no payment details.

9. Children

The beta is designed for adults age 55 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the website, services, or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate and obtain consent where required before using previously collected information for a materially different purpose.
