An object. A story.
A first hello.

You don’t have to arrive knowing anyone.

Week 1 · Story Behind Me

What’s the story behind something you’ve kept?

A photograph. A recipe card. A cup from a place you once lived. Bring an object you feel comfortable sharing and tell a little of its story.

Your host helps the conversation along. You listen, ask a question, and begin learning who’s in your Circle.

What might you bring?

A photograph

Think of a moment you would enjoy telling someone about. What happened just before or after the photograph?

A recipe

Who taught you to make it? What brings you back to that table?

Something you’ve kept

It does not have to be valuable. What makes it worth keeping to you?

The same people. A new reason to connect.

A Circle is a small group that meets online each week. A host guides the experience, so you can spend your time getting to know one another.

01 Week 1

Story Behind Me

Begin with something personal.

An object gives you a way to introduce yourself—and a reason to ask about someone else’s story.

02 Weeks 2–11

Keep reaching out.

Build on the first conversation.

Weekly Gatherings and shared activities give you reasons to reconnect. Between sessions, make room for the people you are getting to know.

03 Week 12

Our Story So Far

Look back at what you’ve shared.

Return to the moments from your Circle’s journey. The story now includes experiences you have had together.

Online Gatherings. A consistent Circle. Space for connection in between.

A few things
worth knowing.

A little clarity before your first hello.

Who is the beta for?

The first Circles are designed for single adults age 55 and older, with a focus on the Latter-day Saint community. A current temple recommend is not required. Invitations depend on fit, scheduling, and available Circle capacity.

Is Companions a dating app?

Companions is friendship-first. You get to know people through conversation and shared experiences in a small Circle. Mutual, respectful romantic interest may develop, but finding a romantic partner is not the purpose or a promised outcome.

Do we meet online or in person?

The beta is built around weekly, host-led online Gatherings, with invitations to connect between sessions. We aim to form Circles with people within a reasonable driving distance when possible. Local placement and in-person events are not guaranteed.

How much time should I set aside?

Plan to take part in a weekly Gathering during the 12-week journey and make room for small opportunities to connect between sessions. We will share the actual schedule and participation expectations before you accept an invitation.

What will the beta cost?

Beta membership is $10 per month. Requesting an invitation is free and does not start a subscription. You will review the billing, cancellation, and refund terms before choosing to pay. Accepted members receive a Stripe checkout link after onboarding. Any later offer or pricing change will be explained separately.

What should I know about verification and recording?

Government-issued identity verification is part of onboarding. Designated calls are recorded and processed with AI to support the Companions experience; consent is required to participate. Withdrawing that consent ends participation. Raw recordings are kept through the journey and deleted within 30 days after Week 12. Detailed access, use, and retention information is provided during onboarding. Do not send identity documents through this request form.

What happens after I request an invitation?

The Companions team reviews requests for the first Circles. We may contact you about your location, availability, and next steps. A request is not a confirmed place. You can decide whether to participate after reviewing the schedule, offer, and onboarding information.
